The short version: our games do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell your personal information. Some games show ads or measure crashes through the partners listed below, and those partners may collect device information to do that job.
Who we are
Small Wave Games ("we", "us") is an independent game studio based in the United States. If you have any question about this policy, write to info@smallwavegames.com.
Information we collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or location through our games. Depending on the game, the following information may be processed:
- Game progress and settings, stored on your device so you can continue where you left off.
- Device and usage information, such as device model, operating system version, language, crash reports and how often levels are played. We use this to fix bugs and improve the games.
- Advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS when you allow it), used by our ad partners to show and measure ads.
- Purchase records, if a game offers in-app purchases. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your card details.
- Emails you send us, which we keep only as long as needed to answer you.
Partners who process data
Our games may use the following services. Each one has its own privacy policy that explains what it collects:
- Google AdMob (advertising): policies.google.com/privacy
- Unity Technologies (game engine, analytics and ads): unity.com/legal
- Google Play services and Apple App Store (downloads, purchases, crash reports)
The store page of each game lists exactly which of these that game uses.
Ads and your choices
On iOS, we ask for permission before your advertising identifier can be used for tracking, and you can change that choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Google > Ads. If you turn off personalized ads, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
Children
Some of our games, such as Little Hill Drivers, are designed for young children. In those games we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, we do not show personalized ads, and any ads come only from ad networks certified for family audiences under the Google Play Families Policy. Purchases and links that leave the game are placed behind a parental gate.
Our other games are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
Game progress stays on your device until you delete the game. Analytics and crash data held by our partners is kept according to their policies, usually no longer than 14 months. Support emails are deleted once the issue is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have the right to access, correct or delete information about you, and to object to certain uses of it. To make a request, email info@smallwavegames.com with the name of the game and, if you can, your device's advertising ID. We will reply within 30 days.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising except through the ad partners described above, which you can control with the settings in "Ads and your choices".
Security
We keep the information we handle to a minimum and use the security features of the platforms we build on. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you notice anything wrong.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also let players know inside the affected games.
